About The Role

As our In‑House Counsel (Charging), you’ll play a key role in enabling Bromford Flagship LiveWest to thrive by delivering high quality legal services across property charging and securitisation. You’ll ensure our loan facilities are fully secured and that our property stock is consistently prepared, compliant and ready to charge, supporting the Group’s funding strategy and long‑term growth.

You’ll act as a trusted subject matter expert, working closely with colleagues across the business and external partners, while also supporting the development of more junior team members and driving continuous improvement in how we work.

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver high quality legal advice and support on property charging and securitisation, including financing and refinancing matters.
* Carry out legal due diligence on properties and resolve title issues or defects to ensure they are acceptable to funders.
* Ensure charging and securitisation processes are compliant, robust and continually improved.
* Work closely with development and internal teams to ensure funders’ requirements are understood and met.
* Support the achievement of rolling security requirements across the property portfolio.
* Instruct and manage external solicitors, ensuring transactions are delivered on time, within agreed fees and to a high standard.
* Act as a subject matter expert, contributing to risk awareness, innovation and continuous improvement.
* Supervise and mentor more junior colleagues, supporting their development and building capability within the team.

Why Join Bromford Flagship LiveWest

You’ll be joining a collaborative and forward‑thinking organisation where your expertise will genuinely influence how we operate. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the implementation of a robust, efficient and future‑focused security charging programme, while continuing to develop your professional skills in a supportive in‑house environment.

Please note: Salary within this role reflects the wide salary range typically seen within the legal sector. The starting salary will be dependent on your level of post‑qualification experience.

This is a full time, permanent role working 37 hours per week.

Hybrid working is available for this role, working 2‑3 days in the office dependent on business need. You will be based from one of our Exeter, Tolvaddon, Norwich or Tewkesbury offices.
