Quality & Account Manager (Seafood)

We’re looking for a Quality & Account Manager with demonstratable experience in seafood to join our team at Rockfish Quayside in Brixham.
You will be working at the centre of our seafood processing operation directly on the quayside. This is a hands-on management role, combining responsibility for quality assurance, compliance, customer account coordination, and operational support across Rockfish restaurants, retail, and wholesale supply. Reporting to the General Manager you’ll help ensure our seafood consistently meets the highest standards of quality, food safety, traceability, accuracy of records and presentation, while supporting smooth coordination across production, logistics, inventory, and supply chain operations. Based opposite Brixham Fish Market, where our fish is bought fresh every morning, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced seafood environment, values teamwork, and takes pride in delivering exceptional service and quality. This will involve early starts and dependent on buying schedules driven by the market.
The working week runs from Monday to Friday and 42.5 hours per week (including 30-minute breaks). Occasional weekend work is required with overtime available for busy periods and weekends.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Account Management
· Main contact for Rockfish restaurants and wholesale partners.
· Coordinate customer orders from intake through fulfilment.
· Maintain strong relationships with all restaurants and accounts.
· Resolve delivery, service, or quality issues quickly.
· Ensure positive communication that aligns with Rockfish values and culture.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
· Carry out daily seafood quality checks.
· Record and manage all areas in line with compliance standards and take corrective actions where needed.
· Maintain product specifications, traceability, and due diligence records.
· Support SALSA, EHO, and internal audit requirements.
· Promote strong food safety and health & safety standards.
Operations Support
· Support packing, labelling, and dispatch operations.
· Monitor workflow efficiency and identify improvements.
· Coordinate activities across buying, production, procurement, logistics, retail, and commercial teams.
· Support seafood buying with insight on species availability, quality, seasonality, and yield.
· Communicate stock, quality, or fulfilment issues promptly.

Skills & Experience
· Demonstratable Experience in seafood production or processing.
· Demonstratable Experience managing customer accounts or client relationships.
· Strong background in quality assurance, food safety, and compliance.
· Experience working with SALSA, BRC, or equivalent food safety standards.
· Knowledge of product specifications, traceability, and due diligence systems.
· Experience coordinating across production, procurement, logistics, and commercial teams.
· HACCP Level 3 desirable.
