Your Impact and Responsibilities:As a Trusts Manager, you will be instrumental in advising on trust and estate taxation, including areas such as Inheritance Tax, Capital Gains Tax, and individual tax issues.You’ll take the lead in ensuring compliance with trust-related taxation, accurate submissions to HMRC, and offering insightful tax planning advice to clients. Your focus will also include growing the client base and guiding junior colleagues in their development.Key Responsibilities:
* Directing the completion and filing of tax returns for trusts and estates
* Advising trustees and clients on strategic tax-saving opportunities
* Handling Inheritance Tax filings, including periodic and exit charges
* Guaranteeing compliance with HMRC's Trust Registration Service and FATCA/CRS obligations
* Working closely with trustees, clients, and solicitors to develop bespoke tax plans
* Contributing to the launch of a ‘family office’ service, overseeing reporting and administration
Your Profile:
* Qualified ATT/CTA (STEP accreditation seen as advantageous)
* Demonstrable background in trust taxation and accountancy
* Deep understanding of UK trust legislation and tax compliance
* Excellent interpersonal and client-facing skills
* Proactive, ambitious, and results-oriented, with a drive to grow both the team and client roster
