Wick Care Farm Say

We are looking for a Care Farm Manager to lead our therapeutic care farm — a vibrant, welcoming space that supports both adults and young people with a variety of needs to improve their mental health and wellbeing. Our farm is built on community, compassion, and the belief that everyone deserves a place to grow.

Location: Wick Care Farm, Wick, Pershore, Worcestershire

Salary: £29,120 pro rata, per annum (FTE £36,400)

Hours: Part time – 32 hours per week (FTE 40 hours per week)

Contract: Permanent

About Us

Wick Care Farm (WCF) offers a therapeutic, nature‑based environment where children and adults can experience a meaningful shift in perspective and improve their overall wellbeing. Through working with animals, growing plants, engaging with nature, and taking part in creative projects, individuals are supported to rediscover purpose and build a more fulfilling way of living. Our team works with a diverse group of people, including those facing mental‑health challenges, young people struggling in education, and individuals recently diagnosed with neurodegenerative conditions such as dementia or Huntington’s disease.

The Role

As our Care Farm Manager, you will hold overall responsibility for day‑to‑day operations, lead the Operational Senior Team, and play a pivotal role in delivering our Strategic Plan over the next three years.

About You

You’re someone who brings both heart, knowledge and practical experience to your work. You understand that every person who comes to the farm has their own story, strengths, and challenges, and you are confident supporting adults and young people with a wide range of social, emotional, and mental‑health needs.

You’ll Also Bring

* Experience of working with adults and/or children and young people with diverse social, emotional, and mental‑health needs
* Experience of managing a team, including one‑to‑one reviews and implementing HR procedures
* Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements, including Risk Assessments and COSHH
* A good working knowledge of safeguarding and child‑protection principles
* Good organisational skills and experience of budget planning and tracking financial performance

Above all, you’re someone who leads with kindness, communicates openly, actively listens, and thrives in a community‑focused environment where people feel safe, valued, and able to grow.
