Operating in Tewkesbury since 1986, we work for some of the leading organisations in the UK. We manufacture products for customers who operate principally in the defence and security sectors using the latest CNC equipment.

Delivery Driver / Stores Person - The role
We are looking for someone to help us deliver products to our customers. Some journeys will be local, short distances and others will require driving up to 300 miles a day (not every day) in our company Volkswagen Crafter and Caddy vehicles. Some products are heavy (up to 20kg) and so in some instances this role will be physically demanding and some days will be predominantly spent driving.
When not out delivering, this position will also support our Operations team with the organisation of our stores; some days it will be driving and other days will involve accepting and inspecting goods inwards, un-packing boxes and preparing orders and others unloading trucks.
This position is responsible for:
* Conducting deliveries safely, in a prompt and efficient manner
* Maintaining good customer relations by being courteous and helpful at all times and to report any problems that may arise from goods or services supplied by the company
* To drive the company delivery vehicle in a careful and courteous manner with due regard to the Road Traffic Act and company procedures and immediately notify us of any pending endorsements or prosecutions against your licence
* To keep the vehicle clean at all times and carry out daily checks on oil, water, battery, lights, tyres, fuel and report any new damage
* To carefully observe Company procedures regarding accidents and insurance claims and to report any accidents or other occurrence relating to the Company vehicle without delay
* To have due regard for Health and Safety of others whilst undertaking your duties
* To assist in the Operations team with unloading, putting stock away, picking and audit support
You'll succeed in this role and will enjoy working with us if:
* You enjoy driving and have a clean full UK driving licence
* You feel comfortable driving a VW Crafter / Caddy sized vehicle
* You enjoy working reasonably independently
* You are a professional communicator and feel confident to represent and be the face of our company when visiting customers premises
