The British Society of Dental Hygiene and Therapy (BSDHT) is the professional membership body representing dental hygienists and dental therapists across the UK. We operate as a company limited by guarantee and are governed by our Articles and Rules.
We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of the Society during a period of organisational redevelopment.
THE ROLE
As General Manager, you will:
* Lead the Society’s operations and staff
* Implement agreed strategies, policies and plans
* Strengthen financial and operational processes
* Support the Executive Committee and Council through professional operational leadership
* Build sustainable systems and working practices
This is a senior operational role. Strategy and governance are set by the Society’s elected bodies.
You will have:
* Senior management or general management experience
* Experience in a membership organisation, professional body or similar environment
* Strong operational and financial management skills
* Confidence working with elected officers, volunteers and professionals
You will be organised, calm under pressure and comfortable working within clear authority and accountability.
Contract and hours
* Fixed-term (12–18 months initially)
* Full-time or part-time considered
* Salary competitive, dependent on experience
