Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance Apprentice Level 3 with the 4th year aiming to achieve an Electric Vehicle and IRTEC qualifications.

Are you passionate about vehicles and looking to start a career in the motor industry?

We are offering an exciting opportunity to join our workshop team as a Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Apprentice.

This hands on role will give you the opportunity to earn while you learn gaining valuable practical experience alongside a nationally recognised Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair qualification.

You will work with experienced technicians to learn how to inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair a wide range of heavy goods and municipal vehicles that keep our community running.

What You will Be Doing

* Working towards achieving a Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
* Assisting experienced technicians in carrying out routine servicing and maintenance tasks.
* Learning how to use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify faults.
* Supporting repairs and replacements of key components such as engines, brakes, transmissions, and suspension systems.
* Helping to conduct vehicle inspections, ensuring all documentation meets legal and safety standards.
* Keeping accurate records of maintenance work and parts used.
* Maintaining workshop cleanliness and ensuring health and safety procedures are always followed.

What We are Looking For

We are looking for someone who&s enthusiastic, reliable, and eager to learn. You will be supported every step of the way to develop your skills and knowledge.

Essential Requirements:

* Basic awareness of automotive systems, tools, and workshop safety procedures.
* A genuine interest in mechanical work and vehicle technology.
* To be able to travel to Doncaster

Desirable Requirements:

* A current, valid UK driving licence.
* Experience in a vehicle repair environment, ideally supporting heavy goods or municipal vehicles.
* Understanding of legal and compliance requirements in vehicle maintenance.
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths, Grade C / 4 or above.
* Level 1 or 2 qualification in vehicle or machine repair.
* Previous experience carrying out basic servicing or inspections on light or heavy vehicles.
* Experience working with local authority fleets or plant machinery.

Personal Qualities:

* A strong willingness to learn and complete a Level 3 qualification.
* Team oriented with a positive attitude.
* Passionate about delivering quality work.
