Leader Education is currently recruiting for an Autism Support Assistant for a SEND school that is in Ashington, Northumberland.
This specialist school provides education and support for primary and secondary students. We are looking for individuals to support students with Autism on a 1:1 basis or small group basis.
Previous experience working with autism and/or learning difficulties is a must.
Team Teach training is advantageous, however free training may be provided.
You:
* Ideally have previous experience with autism, learning difficulties, or complex needs
* Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
* Have a high standard of classroom skills
* Promote a positive, inclusive and integrated learning environment
* Have a passion for teaching and learning with the ability to make learning enjoyable and fun
* Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a commitment to collaborative working
