Overview

We have one full time vacancy for a Band 3 Higher Clinical Support Worker to join our team within Outpatients.


Responsibilities

* Work as part of the nursing team to assist within nurse led clinics, perform ECGs, venepuncture and ensure clinics are run smoothly.
* Work between Russells Hall, Corbett and Guest sites as part of the Outpatients department, supporting clinicians to provide a high standard of patient care.
* Ensure patients feel welcomed into clinic and ready for their appointments.
* Carry out basic administration tasks to support clinicians, such as booking patients in and out of clinics, photocopying, and making up clinic packs.
* Carry out clinical observations of patients prior to their appointments as required (e.g., height, weight, ECGs, BP, urine tests, venepuncture).
* Assist within plastics nurse led clinic following training.
* Communicate effectively with other members of the health care team, patients and relatives.
* Recognise and report to clinicians any concerns or changes in the patient's condition.
* Ensure all equipment is cleaned on a daily basis as necessary, adhering to the Trust Infection Control Policy.
