Sheridan Maine is partnering with a well-established and respected accountancy practice in Kent to recruit an Audit Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing firm, leading audit engagements and supporting the development of a high-performing team.
The Role
The Audit Manager will take ownership of audit engagements, ensuring high-quality delivery for a varied client portfolio. You will manage and mentor junior team members, liaise with clients, and ensure compliance with professional and regulatory standards.
The Audit Manager will be responsible for:
1. Leading audit engagements from planning through to completion.
2. Managing, mentoring, and developing audit teams through feedback, training, and guidance.
3. Reviewing and approving audit work papers, reports, and recommendations.
4. Maintaining strong client relationships and acting as a trusted point of contact.
5. Ensuring compliance with audit methodology, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
6. Supporting the growth and development of the audit function.
The successful Audit Manager will possess:
7. ACA or ACCA qualified with significant post-qualification audit experience.
8. Proven experience managing and developing audit teams.
9. Strong technical knowledge of accounting and audit standards.
10. Excellent client-facing, communication, and leadership skills.
11. Highly organised with a proactive and commercially aware approach.
