An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Litigation Legal Secretary to join a well-established law firm in Birmingham. This role is ideal for a proactive and highly organised individual who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment. You will be providing key administrative and secretarial support to the litigation team, ensuring the smooth running of daily operations.
Up to £30,000 depending on experience.
Permanent role.
Legal Secretary - Key Responsibilities:
1. Providing secretarial and administrative support to solicitors in the litigation department.
2. Preparing, formatting, and typing legal documents including court forms, correspondence, and contracts.
3. Managing diaries, scheduling appointments, and organising meetings.
4. Liaising with clients, courts, and third parties in a professional and efficient manner.
5. Handling file management, including opening, updating, and closing case files.
6. Assisting with billing, expense management, and general financial administration.
7. Managing telephone and email correspondence on behalf of fee earners.
8. Preparing court bundles and ensuring all documentation is filed correctly.
9. Conducting legal research and assisting with case preparation when required.
Legal Secretary - Key Requirements:
10. Previous experience as a Legal Secretary is essential, Litigation is preferred but any area will be considered.
11. Typing and audio-dictation skills with a high level of accuracy.
12. Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
13. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and case management systems.
14. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
