The role
The Change Communications Advisor will join the Planning and Communications team to support the advancement of key transformation initiatives including our Data and Insight programme. Responsible for designing and delivering comprehensive communication and engagement plans to support change initiatives, this role will work across project teams and with colleagues from all areas of the organisation. The role will help build awareness, foster engagement, and enable adoption and proficiency in new technologies, capabilities, and ways of working.
What You Will Be Doing In Your Role
* Working closely with the Planning and Communications team, relevant project teams, Media and PR teams, and HR, to develop and implement internal communications, engagement and change management plans for transformation project activity – enabling colleagues to adopt new ways of working with proficiency and ease, and with limited impact to our beneficiaries.
* Create and deliver clear and engaging project communication materials (e.g. intranet content, presentations, videos, emails, guides).
* Coordinate the implementation of engagement initiatives related to Historic Royal Palaces major projects - ensuring employees have a ‘voice’ throughout, that they have opportunities to contribute to decisions, and that they are engaged with changes to our ways of working by coordinating staff engagement events and activity e.g., roadshows, listening events, staff champions.
* Ensure Chief Executive / Executive Board are briefed on key project messages before presentations / employee events.
* Recommend and apply change management tactics tailored to the environment, type of change, and affected groups - anticipating opportunities, challenges, and risks related to transformation and change.
* Manage and measure effectiveness of communication channels.
* Build and maintain relationships across all HRP teams to ensure partnership working and adoption of initiatives. Provide support to other key staff groups e.g. SLT, Inclusivity Network, TU meetings etc.
* Work closely with the Internal Communications Advisor in managing the internal communications calendar and coordinating activity across all IC channels – ensuring messages are prioritised and tailored appropriately, with consistent branding and style.
* Support any staff surveys and ensure that the timings are appropriate.
* Act as an internal champion for the Historic Royal Palaces strategy, ensuring staff understand and are engaged with the brand narrative and principles.
* Support the wider Planning and Communications team on other staff communications and engagement projects, events and initiatives.
* On occasions there will be a need to undertake other, relevant activities which fall under the general scope of this role, as requested by the Director of Corporate Services.
