Job Description:
Our Advanced Materials client is seeking a Metrologist to join their fast-growing organization.
Your primary responsibilities will include operating automated metrology equipment to inspect high-performance components. You will work within the inspection team to ensure efficient and accurate execution of these processes. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will be critical in producing high-quality components.
You will collaborate closely with engineering and operations teams and report directly to the Metrology Manager. Training will be provided as needed.
Responsibilities:
* Programming and operation of GOM ATOS 3D Structured Light Scanning Metrology equipment
* Supporting project teams throughout product development
* Maintaining accurate logs of measured parts
* Supporting and organizing tool calibration to retain traceability
* Sharing knowledge with the metrology team to enhance overall capabilities
Essential:
* At least 2 years of experience using GOM Inspect Pro
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings / GD&T
* Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals
* Organized and able to work independently, yet collaborate with a diverse, fast-moving team
* Hands-on attitude and willingness to learn new skills
* High attention to detail
* Interest in working in a high-accuracy engineering environment
Desirable:
* Experience in CMM Programming (Renishaw, Modus)
* XCT (Weygate Technologies, Volume Graphics Studio)
* Optical Profilometer (Alicona)
* Design and manufacture of jigs/fixturing used for measurement
* Computer coding/data analysis skills
* Knowledge of statistical process control
* Willingness to work flexible hours if required
