Job Description:
Within the Safety Case discipline, you will support clients as part of a team on projects involving new build, decommissioning, or ongoing operational facilities by providing safety cases and associated assessments. You will ensure that work is delivered to a high standard, on time, and within the agreed programme.

Role and Responsibilities
As a Principal Safety Case Consultant, your tasks may include:
* Developing and presenting robust, reasoned arguments coherently.
* Delivering consultancy that meets or exceeds client expectations regarding technical excellence and deliverable quality.
* Ensuring consultancy outcomes meet or exceed client expectations in terms of timelines and costs, supporting the business's long-term growth and reputation.
* Managing small to medium-sized projects as a project or technical lead.
* Delivering work within budget and schedule, monitoring all project aspects.
* Liaising with all stakeholders regarding technical and commercial progress.
* Developing skills in growing projects.
* Identifying opportunities with clients and supporting, mentoring, and coaching colleagues within the business.
Preferred Role Requirements
The Safety Case team values diversity of thought and welcomes candidates with transferable skills applicable to nuclear decommissioning projects. Candidates will be assessed individually, with no strict minimum requirements.
The preferred requirements include:
* A degree or equivalent in engineering, science, or a related field.
* Hold or be willing to obtain ‘SC’ UK Security Clearance.
* At least 10 years of professional engineering/technical experience.
* Experience managing and producing complex safety cases for various plant types at different lifecycle stages, working independently within a team.
* Good knowledge of Quality Management Systems, especially related to ‘Opportunity to Order’ and ‘Order to Project Completion’ requirements.
* Understanding of NEC 3 contract systems.
* 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, with an additional day off for each year of service capped at 5 days.
* One professional membership subscription paid for by the company.
