The Opportunity
Arup’s Air Quality team operates as a national practice, sharing resources and projects across our UK-based offices. We are looking for a recent graduate to start their career in environmental consultancy and join our UK air quality team, based in one of our London, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Newcastle or Leeds offices. You will work on diverse projects across sectors including energy, aviation, infrastructure and advisory, undertaking air quality assessments from informing design to fulfilling regulatory requirements and supporting planning applications. Attendance at site visits may be required depending on project needs. You will play a key role in project delivery and regularly liaise with clients (internal and external).

Responsibilities
* Undertake air quality assessments across projects and apply regulatory requirements in planning applications.
* Support all aspects of project delivery and communicate with clients (internal and external) regularly.
* Attend site visits as required by project needs.
* Collaborate with experienced consultants and contribute to delivering high-quality outcomes.
What we are looking for
We are looking for people with:
* A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant subject.
* Member of the Institute of Air Quality Management (IAQM) or Institution of Environmental Science (IES). (Desirable).
* Strong interest and knowledge of air quality and environmental matters.
* Knowledge of delivering air quality assessments and dispersion modelling software such as ADMS, AERMOD. (Desirable).
* Proficient in geographical information systems (GIS). (Desirable).
* Knowledge of digital tools such as PowerBI, OpenAir and Python for data interpretation and visualisation. (Desirable).
