Must Have’s
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a commercial insurance broking and sales environment
• In-depth knowledge of the Motor Trade / Automotive industry and its insurance needs
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Comfortable supporting and mentoring less experienced team members
Nice to Have’s
• Strong insurer relationships and market influence
• Track record of leading successful product development or refinement
• Team leadership or training/coaching experience
• Understanding of FCA Consumer Duty and compliance frameworks in insurance
So, what will you be doing?
Strategic Leadership
• Own and drive the Motor Trade/Automotive strategy across the broking function
• Continuously review product features to ensure competitiveness and compliance
• Act as a senior point of reference for the wider Automotive Team
• Analyse monthly trading data to shape ongoing trading and underwriting performance
• Collaborate with the Broking Manager and Account Executives to meet team-wide sales and renewal targets
Client & Market Engagement
• Manage and retain a portfolio of commercial clients, tailoring solutions as their business evolves
• Build and maintain relationships with key insurer partners and underwriters
• Support retention efforts by delivering excellent service and targeted renewal strategies
• Actively contribute to meeting and exceeding customer satisfaction KPIs
Internal Performance
• Deliver consistent reporting and analysis to support decision-making
• Identify emerging trends and recommend remedial or growth initiatives
• Maintain compliance with FCA, PRA, and internal governance standards
• Promote and live company values while representing the organisation professionally
