Deputy Manager – Children’s Residential Home (Permanent Role)
Salary: £44,246 - £50,076 per annum
Full-time – 37 hours per week (rota basis)

Rafah Recruitment is looking for an experienced and dedicated Deputy Manager to join our Ofsted-rated “Good in all areas” children’s home in picturesque Upnor. Set in an acre of beautiful grounds, our home provides a safe, stable, and therapeutic environment for up to 5 young people aged 11–17.

Nestled on the edge of Upnor, the home is registered to be “a place called home”, providing care and guidance tailored to young people’s emotional and developmental needs.
What We’re Looking For:
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in residential childcare settings
* Supervisory or management experience within children’s services
* Strong working knowledge of:
* Children’s Homes Regulations 2015
* Quality Standards & Ofsted Inspection Framework
* Safeguarding procedures and risk management
* PACE model, Signs of Safety, and care planning principles
* Experience with children with:
* Learning difficulties, autism, complex health needs, and emotional/behavioural challenges
Qualifications & Training:
* GCSEs (Grade 5 or equivalent) in English and Maths
* Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
* Willingness to complete:
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management
* PACE and Team Teach training
* Mandatory training as per role requirements
