Our client, a highly regarded mixed comprehensive school with an excellent local reputation, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Compliance Officer to join their team on a part-time basis.

Reporting to the Director of Finance and Operations (DFO), the Compliance Officer will play a key role in ensuring the school operates within all regulatory and statutory requirements. This varied role covers health and safety, data protection and GDPR, disaster recovery planning, and the schools climate action strategy.
Key responsibilities include:
Maintaining up-to-date risk assessments, health and safety policies, and compliance documentation.
Managing GDPR processes, including Subject Access Requests (SARs), data breaches, and retention policies.
Supporting the development and testing of Disaster Recovery Plans.
Drafting and updating the schools Climate Action Plan covering decarbonisation, biodiversity, education, and resilience.
Responding to compliance requests from external bodies such as the Health and Safety Executive, Office for National Statistics, and others.
The successful Compliance Officer will bring detailed compliance experience within education or a related field, coupled with excellent communication skills, strong IT ability, meticulous attention to detail and a genuine interest in compliance and effective school operations.
This is a part time role, working three days a week, hours 8am - 4pm.
