REQ5652 The overall purpose of this job is to provide a professional occupational health service to the business, including effective and timely health surveillance service and provide advice to managers and colleagues. You will be part of a new in-house occupational health and wellbeing team, that is bringing health surveillance directly to our employees. We deliver safety, warmth, and comfort to homes and businesses. Every role, whether in the office or on the front line, plays a key part in this mission. Here’s how you will contribute… Deliver a range of health surveillance activities and other key occupational health requirements to the wider workforce, covering industrial and non-industrial employees, in line with current HSE guidance and company requirements Work as part of the in-house team, being agile, acting on feedback from the business, continuously improving and delivering a quality service to meet customer requirements Advise on legislative health requirements and health and wellbeing in general Carry out monitoring of physical agents and feedback findings to allow the SHE management team to enable better controls to be established Health Surveillance and Fit for Work assessments Carry out a range of health surveillance activities, including undertaking health spirometry, audiology, skin assessment and Hand Arm Vibration assessments under indirect supervision of an Occupational Health Nurse/Advisor Undertake vision, colour vision, height, weight, blood pressure and pulse assessments Undertake Display Screen Equipment, lone worker and night worker assessments Generate clear, concise and accurate outcome reports Report any abnormal findings or causes for concern Ensure care, correct use and calibration of equipment What you will need Experience in an OH technician role or proven background in an OH setting. Someone with transferable skills may be considered. Demonstrate excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills Support wider team and company communications Sensitive and professional management of individuals Flexible approach Ability to adapt to unexpected and varied circumstances Ability to work under your own initiative, prioritise tasks and work to deadlines Proven experience in maintaining confidentiality and data protection Use of databases, OH specific databases Experienced with Microsoft packages particularly Microsoft Excel and Word Willingness to undertake appropriate training to support job requirements and activities Not sure you meet every requirement?
