We have an exciting opportunity to join our People & Culture team as an Executive Support Assistant. As part of our wider Leadership Support Service, you’ll play a vital role in helping our Assistant Directors make the most of their time—enabling them to focus on what matters most for North East Lincolnshire.
This role is at the heart of our commitment to valuing people, honesty, continuous improvement, openness, and integrity. You’ll be empowered to work closely with senior leaders, providing confidential and comprehensive administrative support that keeps everything running smoothly.

* Act as the first point of contact—handling sensitive correspondence and calls with professionalism and discretion.
* Organise meetings, prepare agendas, take accurate minutes, and follow up on actions.
* Support a wide range of stakeholders, including elected members, with tact and diplomacy.
* Manage finance tasks, compliance checks, and arrange travel or events as needed.
* Use your initiative to flag deadlines, monitor tasks, and ensure nothing is missed.
* Adapt to new challenges and working practices as our organisation evolves.
Qualifications
* Experience supporting senior managers, ideally in a large or public sector organisation.
* Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Confidence in using Microsoft Office and business support systems.
* The ability to analyse information, solve problems, and provide clear advice.
* A methodical, detail‑oriented approach and the ability to manage a busy workload.
* Discretion and integrity when dealing with confidential matters.
* A commitment to your own professional development.
Key Dates
* Closing date – 7th June
* Interviews – W/C 15th June
