Data Analyst Contract | Inside IR35 | 3 Months (Likely Extension) Hybrid- 2 days per week onsite (East Midlands region) Candidates must be based in the East Midlands (Derby/Nottingham and nearby areas). We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst to support a major asset data transformation programme within a large, operationally critical environment. This role has been created to provide additional capacity on an active asset strategy project, helping convert and improve asset data to support long-term maintenance and capital planning. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working with complex datasets, engaging with stakeholders, and resolving legacy data challenges. The Role: You will play a key part in converting, cleansing, and structuring asset data into new formats, ensuring it is fit for purpose for planning, auditing, and future asset management systems. Working closely with planners, engineers, and asset teams, you will help define data requirements, resolve inconsistencies, and support the transition to improved asset data structures. Key Responsibilities Collate, cleanse, and transform large asset datasets into new, agreed formats Support data conversion activities, including migration into asset management systems Work with subject matter experts to define asset attributes and data standards Facilitate workshops to resolve legacy data issues and identify new data sources Carry out onsite asset tagging and auditing activities when required Contribute to programme governance, including weekly reporting and team ceremonies Maintain and manage a personal work plan to meet programme deadlines Communicate progress, risks, and issues clearly to programme and stakeholder teams Key Skills & Experience (Essential) Strong experience in data manipulation and transformation Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (formulas, lookups, pivot tables, large datasets) Proven attention to detail when working with high-volume or complex data Experience working within structured programmes and governance frameworks Confident engaging with a wide range of stakeholders and running workshops Proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently Desirable Experience Exposure to asset or facilities management environments Experience with Maximo or similar asset management systems Background in facilities maintenance or infrastructure-heavy organisations
