Company: Kingdom Local Authority Support (Kingdom).
Location: Skegness, PE25 area.
Hours: Average 37.5 hours per week, shifts per site rota (rotational weekends). Monday to Sunday, 8 hour shifts between 07:00am - 22:00pm.
Pay Rate: £13.45 per hour.
Driving Licence: Clean full UK manual driving licence required to drive company vehicle.

What The Role Is
The Environmental Enforcement Officer plays a crucial role in maintaining public health, safety, and environmental standards by enforcing environmental laws and regulations. The position involves investigating environmental violations, issuing warnings, fines, or citations, and educating the public about environmental responsibilities. The officer works closely with local authorities, businesses, and residents to promote compliance and reduce environmental crimes such as littering, fly-tipping, and pollution.
Key Responsibilities
* Enforce environmental regulations and local by‑laws related to littering, fly‑tipping, graffiti, waste management, noise pollution, and other environmental concerns.
* Patrol assigned areas to detect violations and ensure compliance with environmental laws.
* Investigate reports of environmental offences from the public and respond promptly to complaints.
* Issue fixed penalty notices (FPNs) and citations to individuals or businesses for non‑compliance with environmental laws.
* Prepare and serve legal documents, including warning notices and fines, in accordance with local laws.
* Conduct follow‑up visits to ensure compliance with issued notices and take further action if necessary.
* Investigate environmental offences such as illegal dumping, abandoned vehicles, and unlawful waste disposal by gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and preparing case files.
* Use surveillance equipment, including cameras, to monitor and collect evidence of environmental crimes.
* Report findings to senior management and collaborate with legal teams to pursue prosecutions when necessary.
* Prepare case files for prosecution, including collecting evidence, photographs, and witness statements.
* Attend court proceedings and present evidence as required to support legal action against environmental offenders.
Skills & Qualifications
* Clean full UK manual driving licence and willingness to drive a company vehicle.
* Strong organisational and investigative skills.
* Good communication skills, able to explain information clearly and concisely.
* Flexibility to adapt to change, work in various situations and weather conditions.
* Ability to use cameras and surveillance equipment for evidence gathering.
