Job Overview
As a qualified social worker, you will act as an expert in child protection, providing advice and consultation to multi‑agency practitioners and supporting families when significant harm has been identified. You will play a key role in strategy meetings, Section 47 enquiries, child protection plans and pre‑proceedings, encouraging family group decision‑making and challenging practices across the multi‑agency partnership.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide expert advice and consultation to practitioners across the multi‑agency partnership.
* Support families when significant harm has been identified.
* Participate in strategy meetings, Section 47 enquiries, children on child protection plans and children in pre‑proceedings.
* Encourage family group decision‑making and challenge across the multi‑agency group.
* Build relationships with families to achieve real and sustainable change.
Qualifications & Experience
* Qualified social worker with significant experience and skill.
* Excellent knowledge of all areas of potential child abuse, contributing factors and consequences.
* Social Work England registration.
* Disclosed and Barring Service (DBS) check required.
Other Requirements
* Must be able to provide documentation proving right to work in the UK.
* Applicant must not require sponsorship for employment.
