The Role
NHS Lanarkshire is seeking to recruit a Healthcare Assistant based at University Hospital Monklands.
The Healthcare Assistant, as part of a multidisciplinary team, will perform routine personal care and assist with examination duties for patients under the supervision of a registered nurse or clinician. The role requires a person-centred approach to care, ensuring safety and quality in service delivery. Responsibilities include maintaining hygiene, order, and safety within the ward or department environment.

Candidate Requirements
* Knowledge of personal care procedures or relevant volunteer/work experience in health, education, or social settings.
* Willingness to undertake on-the-job training and induction.
* Must meet mandatory Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW) standards.
* Ability to work effectively with people and within a multidisciplinary team.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to perform assigned tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
* Basic knowledge of information technology.
Preferred Qualifications
* SVQ Level 2 in Health Care or currently working towards it.
Contract Details
Permanent, full-time role, 37 hours per week.
Location and Working Pattern
Based in Ward 21 - Stroke, University Hospital Monklands. The working pattern involves a rota system.
