Are you a creative, hands-on Product Design Teacher looking for an exciting new opportunity this January? We’re working with a welcoming and well-resourced secondary school in York seeking a passionate teacher to join their team on a full-time temporary supply basis.
This is a fantastic chance to step into a supportive department where creativity is celebrated and students are genuinely enthusiastic about design, engineering, and making. You’ll have the freedom to bring lessons to life, nurture practical skills, and inspire students to think innovatively—without the long-term pressures of a permanent role.
The Role
* Teach engaging Product Design lessons at KS3 & KS4
* Deliver practical, inspiring projects that spark imagination
* Create a positive classroom environment where students feel confident to experiment and learn
* Support students’ progress and celebrate their achievements
* Work within a friendly, collaborative department
What We’re Looking For
* QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
* Experience teaching Product Design (secondary level)
* A dynamic, creative classroom presence
* Confident behaviour management skills
* DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
