Fulbridge Social Care is recruiting both experienced and non-experienced Residential Youth Workers to join our casual team. The role involves working in children’s residential homes and Independent Living settings, with full training and qualifications provided to suitable candidates.
The position entails providing security, guidance, interaction, and support to young people with challenging behaviour and complex needs, aiming to create an environment that supports their intellectual, spiritual, social, and emotional development.
You will work with young people aged 11 to 18 who are in the care system for various reasons and have diverse needs and behaviours. The role requires confidence, patience, and skills to make a positive impact on their lives.
Responsibilities include supporting young people with daily tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, education, and shopping. You will also interact with professionals like Social Workers, Probation Officers, and Police Officers, and support young people in environments such as classrooms, courts, and police stations.
A valid driving license is essential, as you will be required to drive the unit car and transport young people to destinations like family contacts, school, and social activities.
Applicants must complete an enhanced DBS check with Fulbridge Social Care and successfully complete one of our induction programmes before placements can be offered.

Main duties and responsibilities:

5. Support young people in managing their behaviour using approved skills

7. Protect service users from abuse from staff, visitors, or other service users
8. Write accurate reports and maintain records for monitoring
9. Attend all required training and achieve relevant qualifications
10. Attend work reliably and punctually, following shift patterns
11. Stay informed about procedures and policy updates
12. Ensure health and safety for yourself and others
13. Perform additional relevant duties as required
