Junior Web Designer & Developer
Experience required: Minimum 1 year experience

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Web Designer and Developer to join our growing team. In this supporting role, you will work closely with more senior members to maintain and update existing client websites, ensuring they continue to meet high standards of design, functionality, and performance.
You will also assist with various tasks on larger web development projects, gaining exposure to a variety of technologies and design trends. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role who is looking to grow their skills in web design and development.
Key responsibilities
· Website Maintenance: Assist in the ongoing maintenance of client websites, including updates to content, design, and functionality.
· Website Design: Support senior designers in creating visually appealing, user-friendly web layouts and interfaces.
· Website development: Assist with website builds and front-end development tasks (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) ensuring websites are responsive and cross-browser compatible.
· Bug Fixes and Troubleshooting: Help identify and resolve website issues related to performance, functionality, and user experience.
· Collaboration: Work closely with senior developers and designers to support larger web development projects, following best practices and project timelines.
· Testing and Quality Assurance: Assist in testing websites across different devices and browsers to ensure consistent functionality and design.
· Stay Updated: Keep up-to-date with the latest web design trends, tools, and technologies, bringing fresh ideas and approaches to the team.
Requirements
* A minimum of 1 year of experience in a web design/development role or relevant internship experience.
* Basic proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
* Experience with design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD) or Figma is advantageous.
* Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress or similar. Elementor is our chosen web-builder, however, we also have clients that use WP Bakery, Oxygen and Breakdance too. Experience in these would be advantageous.
* Basic knowledge of web performance optimisation and SEO best practices.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
* Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to troubleshooting and resolving issues.
* Enthusiasm and passion – actively keeping at the forefront of current and emerging technologies and best practices.
