Business Development Manager Freight at TieTalent
Salary: up to £40,000 per year, depending on experience.
Location: West Midlands (B75) and surrounding area.
This role is with a Freight Forwarder. The successful candidate will join to generate sales through the introduction of new customers and the development of a client base. This is a growth-focused position within Business Development/Sales, particularly in the freight industry.
Duties of the Business Development Manager will include:
* Generation and follow-up of sales leads, meeting potential and existing customers.
* Providing quotations where necessary and negotiating costs.
* Build and maintain relationships with overseas agents.
* Deliver an exceptional standard of customer service to internal and external customers.
* Arranging and attending sales meetings.
* Gaining verified information on existing and potential clients’ freight requirements.
* Presenting sales tenders.
* Account management.
This role requires a candidate who:
* Has experience within a sales role, within the freight industry.
* Has excellent working knowledge of all freight modes (sea, air, road) across both imports and exports.
* Can work to strict deadlines and strives to achieve targets and KPIs.
* Has previous Business Development experience or, alternatively, strong freight experience with a can-do attitude.
