Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust is an established provider of the national programme for Talking Therapies. The service provides stepped care treatment for people with mild, moderate and severe common mental health problems such as anxiety and depression.
Main Duties of the Job
This post requires a combination of office‑based and working-from-home days. Staff will hold a caseload of Step 2 patients and provide a combination of in‑person treatment, remote and group‑based treatments with patients presenting with mild to moderate mental health problems. Work will involve telephone and video calling patients as required, assessment (Suitability Assessments) to determine patient suitability and step, and treatment for patients.
Job Responsibilities
* Maintain standards of practice according to the employer and any regulating bodies.
* Deliver assessments, individual and group‑based treatments at Step 2 using video calling, phone and in‑person.
* Attend appropriate supervision groups as agreed by clinical lead/team leader.
* Ensure all aspects of confidentiality relating to both the service and individuals are always maintained.
* Attend agreed regular clinical and managerial supervision in line with the trust’s policies and guidelines.
* Ensure all staff are aware of professional standards expected in the service.
* Participate in the trust’s appraisal, performance management framework and ensure adherence to Clinical Governance policies.
* Contribute to the development and maintenance of the highest professional standards of practice.
Person Specification
Education
* Completed accredited Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner course.
* Accredited as a PWP with BABCP or BPS.
* Evidence of training in mental health and experience working in a stepped‑care service for people with common mental health problems.
Experience
* Experience of working with people who have experienced a mental health problem and delivering Step 2 interventions.
* Work within a multicultural framework.
* Ability to meet agreed/specified service targets.
* Experience of working in the local community.
Skills & Abilities
* Ability to work in a team fostering good working relationships.
* Planning and organisational skills for caseload management.
* Ability to deliver PWP interventions.
* Skills in individual and group work.
* Skills and knowledge around supervision.
* Knowledge and practice of delivering Step 2 interventions and stepped‑care procedures.
* Demonstrates an understanding of how mild to moderate common mental health problems may present in primary care.
* Awareness of the theory and practice of psychological therapies.

Salary: £32,073 to £39,043 a year, pro rata.
