Belton & Wroot Primary School Federation is delighted to invite applications for a friendly, organised and enthusiastic Administrative Assistant to join our small, welcoming school family at Wroot Travis Charity C of E Primary School.
This is a lovely opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a close-knit community where relationships matter and every day brings something a little different. As the first point of contact for our children, families and visitors, you will play an important role in creating a warm, positive and professional first impression of our school.
We are looking for someone who is approachable, calm and enjoys being busy, someone who takes pride in keeping things organised and running smoothly, while also being a friendly face for our children and families.
Your role will include:
1. Welcoming parents, visitors and children and responding to telephone and email enquiries
2. Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the school office
3. Preparing and sending communications to parents, including letters, emails and newsletters
4. Maintaining pupil records and supporting general administration
5. Assisting with attendance processes
6. Helping to organise school events, trips and activities
7. Managing correspondence and general office organisation
8. Providing administrative support to staff and senior leaders
We are looking for someone who:
9. Has strong interpersonal skills and communicates well with both adults and children
10. Is well organised and able to manage a varied workload
11. Has good ICT skills
12. Can work efficiently, use initiative and meet deadlines
13. Understands the importance of confidentiality and professionalism
Why work with us?
14. Be part of a small, friendly village school where everyone is known and valued
15. Join a supportive and caring team who look out for one another
16. Work in a role where you can make a real difference every day
17. Enjoy a varied and rewarding position at the heart of school life
18. Benefit from being part of a wider federation team, with opportunities to learn and grow
19. Experience a positive, community-focused environment where relationships matter
Experience of working in a school office would be an advantage, but is not essential. More importantly, we are looking for someone who is positive, flexible and willing to learn.
The postholder will be line managed by the Federation School Business Manager, who is primarily based at Belton, and will be part of our wider federation team.
We are incredibly proud of our supportive environment where everyone is known, valued and cared for. If you are looking to be part of a team where you can make a genuine difference, we would love to hear from you.
Visits to the school are warmly encouraged so you can experience our school community first-hand. Please contact Mrs Thomas in the school office to arrange an appointment.
