Kingston - Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) – £40
Are you a skilled and dedicated Approved Mental Health Professional looking for your next challenge? 3D Recruit is seeking experienced AMHPs to join a dynamic and supportive full-time AMHP team. You will play a key role in frontline mental health services, carrying out Mental Health Act assessments and providing expert support to service users and partner agencies.

Key Responsibilities

* Act as an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) under the Mental Health Act, operating from the Mental Health Social Care Team/AMHP Service.
* Carry out Mental Health Act assessments and related duties as part of a monthly rota, working as a frontline AMHP or back up as required.
* Liaise with key partner agencies to maintain effective multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working, ensuring delivery of a high-quality AMHP service.
* Assess and, where appropriate, arrange hospital admissions formally or informally, or signpost to least restrictive alternatives to admission.
* Support the Mental Health Trust in gatekeeping all admissions, working closely with Crisis and Home Treatment Teams and medical colleagues.
* Provide expert advice and support regarding the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act to professionals, clients, and relatives.
* Take borough-wide referrals for Guardianship and Community Treatment Orders on a rota basis, in liaison with the AMHP Lead.
* Work collaboratively with MHSCT Practitioners, Team Managers, Legal Services, Police, Local Authority Staff, voluntary sector organisations, service users, relatives, and carers.


Essential Requirements

* Degree/Masters in Social Work and current SWE registration.
* Approved Mental Health Professional status with relevant post-qualification experience.
* Strong knowledge of the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, and relevant UK legislation.
* Excellent communication and partnership working skills.
* Right to work in the UK.
