What You Will Do:
- Design electrical systems for a variety of standard and special-purpose machinery, ensuring they meet customer specifications and industry standards.
- Create detailed electrical schematics, cabinet layouts, parts lists, and documentation to support manufacturing and assembly.
- Collaborate closely with mechanical and software teams to deliver fully integrated design solutions.
- Select electrical components with an emphasis on standardisation, cost efficiency, and availability.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards, including conducting risk assessments and supporting CE compliance.
- Provide technical support to other departments and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
What You Will Bring:
- Proven experience as an Electrical Design Engineer, ideally within the machinery or automation industry.
- A minimum qualification of HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
- Proficiency in electrical CAD software, with AutoCAD Electrical being highly desirable.
- Knowledge of machine safety standards such as BS EN ISO 13849-1 & 2 and BS EN 60204-1.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines.
