An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Respiratory Physiology Department. We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our busy and evolving lung function service as a Clinical Respiratory Physiologist.
Cross‑site working between our laboratories (Bexhill Community Diagnostics Centre, Eastbourne DGH and Conquest Hospital); the Community Diagnostic Centre will be the predominant site.
Responsibilities
* Perform lung function tests in our physiology lab, GP direct access spirometry service, and new breathlessness pathway at the Community Diagnostic Centre.
* Set up, calibrate and maintain diagnostic equipment; ensure quality control.
* Produce accurate investigation reports and technical comments.
* Perform basic and advanced pulmonary function testing.
* Work towards gaining a professional qualification from the ARTP (Associate Examination Level I).
Qualifications & Experience
* Good IT skills and excellent communication skills.
* Previous experience in lung function testing, such as spirometry, is advantageous but not essential.
Training & Development
* Comprehensive in‑house training will be provided.
* Opportunity to progress to a Band 5 Clinical Respiratory Physiologist position after completing required competencies.
* Opportunity to undertake Annex 21 training.
