The Refuge Support Worker plays a vital role in providing and coordinating high-quality, person-centred support to individuals affected by domestic abuse. You will empower customers to address personal safety concerns, explore legal options, access specialist services, and overcome barriers to independence. Through compassionate and trauma-informed practice, you will support individuals to rebuild confidence, realise their aspirations, and move towards safe, independent living and employment.
Working collaboratively within a small, dedicated professional team, you will build positive, trusting, and respectful relationships with customers during a critical period of transition. You will liaise with external agencies, statutory services, and community partners to ensure customers receive holistic, coordinated support tailored to their individual needs.
