Brief Description
To provide a customer-focused presence within the station on a day-to-day basis to deliver a first-class and safe station environment for Train Operating Companies (TOCs), passengers, and retailers.
About the role (External)
Key Accountabilities:
1. Provide a highly visible point of contact for station users, offering customer service to all, including visitors, contractors, retailers, TOCs, and passengers traveling throughout the station.
2. Undertake regular station checks, including contractor compliance, security, safety, and equipment inspections, in accordance with relevant standards and procedures, and complete the necessary paperwork for audit purposes.
3. Respond to and record emergencies and incidents involving the public and industry partners, as required.
4. Report faults within the station, maintain records, review, and close actions as needed.
5. Assist and provide information to customers traveling through the station.
6. Check that contractors have relevant risk assessments and method statements before issuing Permits to Work.
7. Coordinate with external authorities and regulators to implement plans to prevent and manage criminal activity on the station, including preventing unauthorized access.
8. Proactively address hazards or unsafe conditions, ensuring proper reporting.
9. Perform duties as outlined within Emergency Plans.
Job Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
* Proficiency in English, both written and oral
* Experience in a customer-facing role
* Confidence to handle various situations assertively
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* GCSEs or equivalent in English and maths
