Our Care Homes operate 24 hours a day, and so does the opportunity to learn. We’re looking for someone who can bring warmth, creativity, and genuine passion into dementia education, meeting teams where they are, whether that’s during the morning rush, a calm afternoon, or a busy night shift.
About the Role
As our Senior Dementia Trainer, you’ll help shape the way dementia care is understood and delivered across our 13 family‑run homes. Your role is about more than training, it’s about inspiring confidence, sharing best practice, and supporting teams in real moments.
What You’ll Do
* Deliver engaging, practical dementia learning across all shift patterns
* Create training that’s interactive, memorable, and suited to real care environments
* Support and coach staff directly on the floor as they care for residents
* Provide guidance around complex dementia needs and behaviours
* Stay curious and up to date with new research and sector developments
* Remain connected and visible within the wider dementia community
* Develop helpful resources and tools that make daily practice easier
* Collaborate in shaping dementia strategy and care culture across our homes
About You
* Truly passionate about dementia and person‑centred care
* Naturally warm and patient, able to build trust with individuals and teams
* Creative in how you share knowledge and keep learning enjoyable
* Flexible and comfortable supporting day, evening and night teams
* Confident when supporting more complex care scenarios
* Curious, proactive, and always looking to learn something new
* A driver who is happy to travel between our homes
What You’ll Bring
* Experience in dementia care at senior or specialist level
* The ability to deliver training in a way that feels relevant, practical and inspiring
* Strong communication skills and a supportive, coaching approach
