A vacant full‑time position for a Highly Specialised Clinical Physiologist – Cardiac Devices has arisen in Mersey West Lancs Hospital Trust. We are looking for an RCCP registered Physiologist with a post‑graduate qualification in a specialised area and sufficient years of post‑qualification experience. The successful candidate must demonstrate flexibility, good communication skills and the ability to work as a team member. The candidate will work alongside fellow Consultants, nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure high standards across the organisation. This post is based in Whiston Hospital and requires you to work flexibly across all MWL sites.
We provide a full range of acute adult services to our local population of circa 350,000 and tertiary services across a much wider area in the North West, North Wales and the Isle of Man. We are also a Major Trauma Unit and the Mersey Regional Burns Unit. Responsibilities
* You will be aware of the full range of procedures provided by the department.
* You will undertake a wide range of work activities.
* Adhere strictly to all Department and Trust policies.
* Deputise for the department manager when necessary.

* Acute Care – providing emergency and maternity services at Whiston, Southport and Ormskirk hospitals, and medical and surgical specialties across all sites.

* Specialist Regional Services – we provide the Mersey Regional Burns & Plastic Surgery Unit at Whiston Hospital and the Spinal Injuries Unit at Southport Hospital to more than 4 million people across the whole of Merseyside, West Lancashire, Cheshire, Isle of Man and North Wales.
