THE ROLE & TEAM As a Finance Systems Analyst you will play a key part in maintaining, supporting and enhancing the firm's finance systems and data capability. This is a hands on role, with responsibility for system stability, data integrity, reporting and continuous improvement. We have an exciting new project which has begun to bring the data of all business functions together, to deliver business insights, self - service analytics all through AI technologies. You will have the opportunity to really get involved and have a hands on approach to successful implementation and testing. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Finance Systems Management Maintain and support core finance systems, including Elite 3E, SAP Concur and Thirdfort Resolve system issues, user queries and data discrepancies in a timely and effective manner Proactively identify potential system or data issues before they escalate Maintain finance systems user security, access controls and permissions Ensure data integrity and system reliability across all finance platforms Month-End & Core Finance Processes Support and manage month-end system processes within Elite 3E Perform system balancing, reconciliations and validation checks Work closely with Finance teams to resolve system-related month-end issues Reporting, Data & Analytics Design, develop and maintain reporting solutions using Power BI and SQL Deliver actionable insights to legal teams, Finance and senior management Write and maintain complex database queries for analysis, audit and ad-hoc reporting Support the development and integration of finance data within the enterprise data warehouse Projects & Continuous Improvement Participate in finance systems projects, including upgrades, implementations and integrations Liaise with IT and third-party vendors regarding bugs, issues, enhancements and new developments ABOUT YOU Technical Skills Advanced knowledge of Elite 3E Strong understanding of finance systems, server environments and database structures Advanced experience with Microsoft Power Platform, Power BI, SQL and Microsoft 365 Experience working with APIs and system integrations Financial Knowledge Solid understanding of accounting principles and operational finance Experience supporting financial reporting processes and controls Communication & Collaboration Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders Comfortable working independently, taking ownership of issues and delivering solutions Problem Solving & Innovation Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Proactive in identifying inefficiencies and implementing automation or system improvements Risk & Control Good understanding of data integrity, system controls and change management Experience working within a controlled finance or professional services environment OUR BENEFITS · Competitive salary · Hybrid working (2 days in the office per week) · Flexible working approach · Medical cash plan · Bonus opportunities · Pension scheme · Life Assurance & Income Protection · 25 days annual leave (increasing with length of service) · Option to buy 10 additional days each year · Additional discretionary leave days · Enhanced Maternity, Paternity & Adoption Leave · Career development and progression opportunities WHO WE ARE Brabners is a purpose ‑ led, independent law firm and a certified B Corp, with award-winning environmental credentials, we seek to demonstrate that business can bring about positive change by being innovative, diverse and sustainable.
