The Primary Care Rehabilitation Facility (PCRF) located within the Medical Centre at Redford Barracks; Edinburgh are seeking an enthusiastic Band 7 Physiotherapist to join their welcoming team.

The vacant post is full time working 37.5 hrs per week. Requests to work flexibly and/or part time will be considered, taking into account business needs.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the Band 7 Physiotherapist is responsible for ensuring the provision and delivery of a comprehensive and professional rehabilitation service for entitled personnel within the PCRF Redford. In addition, to work as a Team Lead, managing staff, comprising of Band 6 Physiotherapists, Band 5
Exercise Therapists and Administration staff.
To act as a source of advanced clinical expertise in the management of musculoskeletal dysfunction and provide an advisory service to patients, other senior physiotherapists, Healthcare Professionals and General Practitioners (GPs) within the practice and Scotland and Northern Ireland Region.
Duties and responsibilities for the role include but are not limited to:
The post holder should be an autonomous practitioner and an expert clinician in the assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of patients with musculoskeletal injury who are referred by GPs.
They are to develop and maintain skills required to work at a Clinical Specialist level within physiotherapy as acknowledged by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists.
They are to be aware of the boundaries of their own practice and are to manage the associated clinical risk effectively at all times.
They are to be responsible for the management of training needs which arise from such role development.
To advise the Senior Medical Officer (SMO), other HCP, Regional Occupational Health (ROHT), regarding highly specialist physiotherapy recommendations.
Responsible for the evaluation of the Physiotherapy Musculoskeletal Services, workforce needs and implement appropriate change.
Qualifications: BSc Hons Physiotherapy or equivalent.
Memberships: Registered as a Physiotherapist with the Health and Care Professional Council.
