About the Role
The Gloucestershire Employment and Skills Hub offers a one‑stop source of information, advice, guidance and support around employment and skills. Working with partners and employers across Gloucestershire, the Hub delivers 1:1 support through a range of programmes for people with barriers to entering, re‑entering or retaining work, as well as advice and signposting for any resident looking for help. As an Employer Adviser you will operate in a target‑driven, outward‑facing role focused on generating job opportunities and achieving sustainable employment outcomes.
Responsibilities
* Proactively build a pipeline of employers using a consultative sales approach to identify vacancies and understand business needs.
* Develop strong partnerships across Gloucestershire, engage proactively with employers and promote inclusive recruitment.
* Match candidates to suitable roles and support successful placements, influencing employers to address barriers to hiring.
* Position Connect to Work as a trusted recruitment partner, influencing employers and advocating for individuals.
* Provide ongoing account management, supporting job starts and retention through practical advice such as reasonable adjustments.
* Use labour market insight to target sectors, grow employer networks and maximise opportunities.
* Maintain a target‑driven performance record, managing multiple priorities and delivering results.
Qualifications
* Proactive and motivated individual who thrives on building relationships and achieving outcomes.
* Experience in partnership working, business development, recruitment or account management is an advantage.
* Strong understanding of employment practices, recruitment processes and challenges for individuals with barriers to work.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build trust quickly with employers, colleagues and participants.
* Organised, adaptable and able to work independently while contributing positively to a wider team.
* Commitment to supporting individuals to overcome barriers and succeed in employment.
* Comfortable working in a target‑driven environment and managing multiple priorities.
