Location: Folkestone, Kent
Salary: £120 - £250 per day (depending on experience)
Start date: Immediately

If so, then we at GSL Education Kent would love to hear from you. We have a fantastic opportunity for a committed SEN Teacher to join a warm and supportive specialist provision located in Folkestone.
The school is a well-respected specialist setting catering to pupils with complex learning needs, including autism spectrum disorder, moderate to severe learning difficulties, and speech and language challenges. The school is dedicated to offering a tailored curriculum that honours each child's uniqueness and fosters independence, self-confidence, and a genuine enthusiasm for learning.
As an SEN Teacher, you will be expected to:
Design and deliver creative, adapted lessons that meet the specific needs of pupils with SEN.
Create, implement, and review individual education plans (IEPs) alongside support staff, therapists, and families.
Establish a safe, positive, and well-structured classroom environment that encourages engagement and measurable progress.
Collaborate closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and parents to ensure a cohesive approach to each child's development.
Track and assess student progress, adjusting teaching methods to help every learner achieve their goals.
To be considered for this SEN Teacher role, the candidate must:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Have proven experience teaching pupils with special educational needs (SEN experience is essential).
Demonstrate strong knowledge of differentiation, behaviour management techniques, and inclusive teaching strategies.
Have the right to work in the UK.
Meet GSL's safer recruitment background checks.
Have a Child Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service or be willing to apply for a new one.
