As our new
Commissioning Manager
, you will play a pivotal role in our NRNN water team. Collaborating closely with project teams, you’ll plan and deliver all MEICA (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, and Automation) and process commissioning activities throughout the project lifecycle. Your success will hinge on effective communication and collaboration with Southern Water, ensuring we represent Kier’s interests while meeting client expectations. In your day-to-day activities, you will: Develop and own a comprehensive commissioning plan and strategy. Collaborate with Southern Water to create project handover documentation for seamless project completion. Lead the commissioning team and engineers, including overseeing the recruitment process with senior project members. Work hand-in-hand with the senior project team to devise efficient, practical, and safe solutions throughout the program. Review and manage the construction program, proactively mitigating delays to achieve positive outcomes. What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you have: A proven track record in delivering large, multidisciplinary MEICA projects and experience in planning the commissioning process. Knowledge and experience in the water sector, particularly with clean and wastewater. Familiarity with pumps/pipe systems, sludge, ozone generation systems, chemical dosing, and water/wastewater treatment process equipment. Experience with 3D modeling for commissioning engagement and planning (not for model creation or design). Understanding of Reg 30 / WRAS and relevant legislation.
