Requirements: An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply). Experience supporting children with SEN, particularly Autism, ADHD, Speech & Language needs, or SEMH. A relevant TA qualification (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3) is desirable. Confidence in using a range of SEND strategies and resources. Strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils. A proactive and flexible approach to working as part of a wider SEND team. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional learning needs. Assist the class teacher in delivering differentiated and engaging learning activities. Use a range of strategies to support communication, emotional regulation, and independence. Help create a calm, structured, and positive learning environment. Work closely with the SENDCo, external professionals, and teaching staff to review progress and adjust support. Support pupils’ social development, inclusion, and overall wellbeing.
