Contract Type: Temporary (3 months, with possible extension)

Hourly Rate: Equivalent to £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (Paid hourly)
Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday

About the Role

Robert Half are currently recruiting for an experienced Office Manager to join a well-regarded educational establishment in Harlow on a 3-month interim basis to cover an internal absence. This role is available for immediate start.

This position is ideal for a skilled and confident education administrator or office leader looking for a short-term challenge in a supportive Education environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Oversee the day-to-day running of the office, ensuring smooth administrative operations.

2. Line manage administrative support staff and coordinate workloads efficiently.

3. Act as the primary contact for internal staff, external agencies, and contractors.

4. Manage records, registers, and internal systems

5. Support HR-related tasks, including absence recording, recruitment admin, and safeguarding compliance checks.

6. Assist in financial admin duties, such as invoicing and ordering, where required.

7. Ensure compliance with organisation policies, including GDPR and safeguarding protocols.

8. Maintain effective communication between staff, leadership teams, and external partners.

Requirements

9. Mandatory: Proven experience working within an educational administration environment.

10. Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills.

11. Ability to hit the ground running in a fast-paced, supportive team.

12. An enhanced DBS check is required (or willingness to undergo one).

Additional Information

13. This is a temporary role for 3 months, with potential for extension depending on circumstances.

14. Hourly rate paid via agency, based on an equivalent £30k-£35k annual salary.
