Our stunning care home, Grappenhall Manor Care Centre, is a purpose-built 70-bed facility located in Warrington, Cheshire. We provide high standards of safety, comfort, and care to residents with diverse needs, including residential, nursing, and dementia care. We invest in the latest technology and offer a purposeful program of daily activities and gentle exercises to enhance residents' wellbeing. All team members are selected for their warmth and passion, undergo full induction, and receive ongoing training from our in-house trainers and the New Care Academy. We pride ourselves on employing a permanent staff team, with no agency staff for over 4 years, to ensure continuity of care. Across New Care, all staff are paid at or above the national living wage.
We are seeking a kind, caring, and motivated Head of Hospitality to join our team. You will be responsible for organizing the Hospitality Assistants and Care Assistants to ensure the dining experience for our residents is smooth and efficient. Your duties include overseeing dining room preparation, cleanliness, setup, and ensuring meals are served timely, presentable, and correctly. This is an exciting leadership role involving team management, rotas, training, and supervision. We offer a 40-hour contract with an hourly rate of £12.44. Shift times are 0800-1900, with alternate weekend working.
Role Responsibilities:
* Ensure high standards of hospitality service are maintained.
* Support and assist visitors.
* Communicate any individual resident requirements to the Chef.
* Follow cleaning schedules and HACCP procedures.
* Ensure all training is adhered to.
* Maintain proper records and reports, including cleaning schedules, worksheets, fridge temperatures, and HACCP paperwork.
* Manage, allocate duties, and supervise the hospitality team to deliver quality care during shifts.
* Coach staff and participate in their ongoing development.
* Promote safeguarding and welfare of adults in contact with the post holder.
Skills and Experience Required:
* Experience as a Dining or Restaurant Supervisor is essential.
* Previous experience in a care setting is desirable.
* Effective communication skills are essential.
* Participation in activities organized in the home is required.
