Role Responsibilities
* Managing a portfolio of audit clients, ensuring compliance and service excellence
* Leading audit engagements from start to finish, overseeing planning, fieldwork, and finalisation
* Reviewing audit work completed by the team, ensuring quality and technical accuracy
* Mentoring and developing junior team members, supporting their professional growth
* Acting as a trusted advisor to clients, offering strategic financial insights and business advice
* Identifying opportunities for business development, supporting the firm’s growth initiatives
* Ensuring engagement profitability, managing billing and budget control
* Keeping up to date with audit regulations and compliance requirements

The Ideal Candidate
* ACA or ACCA qualified, with significant audit experience in a UK accountancy practice
* Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and audit compliance
* Experience managing multiple audit engagements and client relationships
* Leadership skills, with a proven ability to train, mentor, and motivate a team
* Excellent communication skills, confident in presenting to clients and colleagues
* Ability to identify business opportunities, supporting firm-wide growth
* Strong organisational skills, capable of managing deadlines and competing priorities
