An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Practitioner based at University Hospital Ayr.


What You Will Do

Within Station 16, we actively promote the Enhanced Recovery Programme (ERAS) to enable patients to be confidently and safely discharged home at the earliest opportunity, reducing length of stay and avoiding re-admission and complications.

As a Band 4 Assistant Practitioner, working with minimal supervision and in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, you will ensure all appropriate patients are working towards the measures within the ARISE (Arthroplasty Rehabilitation in Scotland Endeavor) bundle to achieve optimal patient outcomes. This role requires motivating both patients and staff to embed the enhanced recovery ethos within Station 16.

You will also support the clinical team by accurately completing the data set, ensuring all relevant data is collected and submitted to the national ARISE database. A commitment to delivering high standards of patient care and understanding the organisation’s values is essential.


Knowledge, Training, and Experience Required

SVQ 3 qualification and relevant orthopaedic experience are essential.


Hours

34.1 hours per week. The shift pattern will be variable, focusing on periods of peak activity.
