Role: Website & Digital Manager– York
Salary: £55k- £70k per annum DOE
Position Overview:
Elevation Recruitment are collaborating with a leading company in the heart of York. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer the data driven Website & Digital Marketing Manager will be expected to own our clients' digital presence end-to-endfrom website performance and automation to SEO, PPC, and campaign delivery.
This strategic role blends hands-on digital marketing expertise with leadership and commercial accountability. You'll lead a small UK-based team (plus agency partners), oversee website optimisation across +200 business sites, and drive measurable client acquisition through digital channels.
You'll have the freedom to shape how digital drives growth. From refining user journeys and automation to influencing the tech stack. This is a high-impact, visible role with the chance to lead innovation, improve performance, and make the digital experience genuinely first-class.
Key Responsibilities
Website & Digital Optimisation
* Own the overall performance, conversion, and day-to-day management of our corporate and practice websites across the UK & Ireland.
* Continuously optimise website UX, SEO, and content for visibility, engagement, and conversion.
* Partner with IT teams to ensure seamless integration of new tools, updates, and user journeys.
* Lead on web infrastructure improvements, CMS management (WordPress), and tech stack efficiency.
* Manage agency relationships and oversee performance of digital tools and platforms.
Marketing Automation & Lead Management
* Take ownership of digital workflows, lead scoring models, and automated nurture journeys.
* Build and optimise lifecycle campaigns that convert digital interest into qualified leads and sales opportunities.
* Track MQL to SQL progression, campaign attribution, and ROI through dashboards (GA4, HubSpot, Looker Studio).
* Foster a test-and-learn culture to improve automation, engagement, and funnel efficiency.
Digital Campaigns & Performance Marketing
* Oversee SEO, SEM, and PPC activity, driving awareness, reputation, and lead generation.
* Leading the Paid Media and CRO specialists to design and test high-performing landing pages and campaigns.
* Manage campaign tracking, analytics, and reporting across all digital channels.
* Partner with the wider marketing team to ensure content, design, and communications align with digital strategy.
Leadership & Collaboration
* Lead, coach, and develop a small UK-based digital team
* Share best practices with teams to ensure consistency and impact.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations to align on growth priorities and delivery.
* Report on KPIs, insights, and continuous improvement initiatives to senior stakeholders.
Skills and Experience:
* 5–10 years' experience in digital marketing, including team leadership and website ownership.
* Experience of managing multiple sites at one time.
* Strong practical knowledge of SEO, PPC, analytics (GA4, Looker Studio), and conversion optimisation.
* Hands-on experience with CMS platforms (WordPress) and marketing automation tools.
* Proven ability to design and manage lead scoring models, nurture workflows, and digital funnels.
* Strong communication and project management skills with excellent attention to detail.
* Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision making and ROI.
