A long-standing dental supply company is looking for an experienced and driven Head of Commercial to develop and the launch and long-term commercial strategy in the UK. This role presents a rare opportunity to build the commercial function from the ground up and shape the commercial culture and team in a rapidly evolving organisation.
As a key member of the UK leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing go-to-market strategies, overseeing field team development, and ensuring strong collaboration with internal stakeholders including Sales, Customer, and global functions. This position combines strategic leadership with hands-on operational execution and external engagement.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement the UK commercial strategy, including pre-launch, launch, and post-launch phases.
* Drive performance through effective planning, execution, and ongoing optimisation of commercial activities, in alignment with UK and global priorities.
* Lead forecasting and long-range planning
* Ensure strong cross-functional collaboration, partnering closely with Sales, Market Access, and the broader international team for integrated planning and execution.
* Adapt global brand strategies to the UK market, ensuring local relevance and credibility with key stakeholders.
* Oversee full compliance with all applicable promotional and regulatory standards in the UK.
* Conduct and apply market research and insights to inform strategic decisions and support agile execution.
* Build and lead a high-performing UK field force, focused on effective customer engagement and long-term partnership development.
* Define the field structure and go-to-market approach.
* Develop training, tools, and performance metrics to ensure excellence and compliance.
* Monitor market dynamics and competitor activity to inform commercial tactics.
* Work closely with Operations to support launch readiness, external engagement, and thought leader development.
Leadership
* Proven leadership of complex and large-scale commercial activities in either the B2B or B2C, with evidence of having worked effectively as part of a wider leadership group. Ideally you would have a minimum of 5-10 years in a similar role with revenue responsibility of twenty Million +
* Experience of operating at Board level or Executive, possessing the impact and gravitas to influence effectively at the most senior levels of an organisation and with a complex network of stakeholders and industry leaders. Proven leadership abilities in building effective relationships with industry to deliver innovation and resilience.
Delivery
* Experience of managing the delivery of large portfolios of SKU, major capital projects, programmes and product rollouts managing the entire lifecycle of product development.
Strategic
* A proven track record of developing commercial strategies and Marketing concepts for significant, game-changing solutions.

* The successful delivery of large-scale and complex transformation, efficiency, or business improvement, with the capability of leading an organisation through complex change.
Vision
* The credibility and ability to lead a broad and diverse system and to develop strategies, investment and capabilities that convert into effective implementation based on evidence. Proven experience of leading the development of campaigns in collaboration with Sales and Customer Services & industry partners.
* Previous experience in or working closely with Dentistry or Medical
* Understanding of the regulatory environments and familiarity with Dentistry, health and medical technology, or medical manufacturing sectors.
