Overview
Thales Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) UK is a principal supplier of UAS, EW and Radar equipment to the UK armed forces, as well as an exporter of these capabilities worldwide. We are looking for senior engineers with the skills and experience to enhance our Electronic Warfare portfolio, delivering cutting edge products including Digital Radar, Electronic Support Measures (RESM), and Radar Electronic Countermeasures (RECM). The IVVQ Manager defines the IVVQ strategy and test means to integrate solution elements, verify requirements, validate operational coverage, and qualify the solution in its operational environment.
Responsibilities
 * Define and maintain the overall IVVQ strategy
 * Tailor the IVVQ environment (processes, practices, tools, HSE)
 * Coordinate IVVQ activities, establish priorities and integration diagrams, conduct tests, analyse results, and report to development teams
 * Coordinate technical facts, e.g., JIRA
 * Manage workload and monitor KPIs; perform corrective actions as required
 * Ensure IVVQ activities meet external and internal customer satisfaction
 * Define test benches and monitor test progress
 * Consolidate and report test results; contribute to qualification/acceptance/certification
 * Support capitalisation activities and lessons learned for the department
 * Be involved in budgeting and scheduling for offers
 * Ensure unambiguous testability of requirements
Profile of the successful candidate
 * Engineering or Scientific degree with significant experience in architecture and engineering systems
 * Experience as IVVQ Manager: manage IVVQ teams and create/execute complex IVVQ test plans and procedures
 * Ability to oversee all IVVQ activities by selecting and managing appropriate methods, resources, and means
 * Experience in leading teams, mentoring staff, and appraising performance
 * Commitment to delivering robust solutions and building strong customer relationships
 * Self-motivated leader with collaborative approach
 * Customer-focused with strong delivery orientation
Competencies
 * Proven ability to lead and manage projects from start to end, including defining test strategy, scheduling, risks, and opportunities
 * Experience in planning and performance tracking; quality assurance of solutions
 * Rigorous, pragmatic, and critical thinking with a technical background
 * Ability to manage complexity and resolve conflicts; resilient to unplanned events
 * Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation skills, and stakeholder engagement
Security Clearance Requirement
Due to the nature of our work, this role requires eligibility for UK Security Clearance. It is typically required to be a sole British National from birth and to achieve Security Clearance (SC) without caveats. If not currently held, the successful applicant should be prepared to undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance prior to commencing employment. Eligibility generally requires residence in the UK for the last 5 years; in some cases 3 years may be acceptable with additional checks. Please refer to UK Security Vetting guidance for details.
